“Again, the kingdom of Heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls, who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it.”
Matthew 13:45-46 NKJV
The value of something is determined by the price someone is willing to pay for it. You might see something in the store that you would like to have but if the price is too high for your liking, you will pass it by. If you see something you must have then you are willing to pay any price for it.
In the same way, God saw you as a beautiful pearl of great value. He desired to purchase your redemption and salvation with the cost of His Son Jesus. You may feel devalued because of your mistakes or failures, which we all have, yet the Bible says God showed His value for us by sending Jesus to die in our place so we can live victoriously and have everlasting life.
Even when we were in our sin, God put great value on us by looking past our mess and seeing what we would be through the power of Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection
Regardless of your possible feelings of inferiority or unworthiness, God says you are a pearl of great value to Him. He proved your value by purchasing you with the high price of the blood of His Son. Then He gave you a purpose to live this life according to His plans.
Receive and accept your value placed upon you by God. Maybe other people don’t value you or disregard you as unimportant. Dismiss that by seeing your value from God’s perspective… you are a treasure… a pearl of great price. The proof of your value is determined by the price that has purchased you.
Let this powerful truth be your new mind set. If you do, you will have a life view based on God’s perspective rather the the opinions of others that may try to minimize you. You are the pearl of great price… believe and live from that truth.
