“…The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.”

James 5:16 NLT

““This is what the Lord says—the Lord who made the earth, who formed and established it, whose name is the Lord: Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come. “.  Jeremiah 33:2-3 NLT

Many treat prayer as a last ditch effort to bring a turn around to problems and trouble. I heard a story about the Titanic that as it was starting to sink one of the officers yelled to a passenger to start praying. The passenger replied “has it come to that.” In other words we only pray as a last resort or if we have exhausted every other option. But the reality is that for the Christian prayer is a power benefit that all of us should practice regularly.

Notice the above scriptures… they reveal that the prayer a righteous person produces power to change things as well as bringing God’s will and plans into focus. You may be thinking I’m not righteous enough to pray a power prayer. The truth is that if you are in Christ, or a Christian, you are righteous by faith in the finished work of Jesus at the cross. In other words, Jesus payed the price for you to be made righteous in Him.  Because of Jesus, your prayers penetrate Heaven and move God to action.

Never underestimate the power of your prayers to move heaven and earth on your behalf  You have God’s ear. God has ordained prayer to allow Him full access to move powerfully in your life. He is a gentleman. He won’t move in your life and circumstances unless you ask Him to. When you pray and ask, God will start to bring about victory and increase.

Step into prayer with a new found confidence that reflects an attitude of faith. Your voice in prayer is just as strong and powerful as any one who has ever prayed. You are His child who has been made righteous by the blood of Christ. Pray knowing that all of Heaven is backing you. As you do expect answers of peace and victory.
